My Educational Philosophy
My personal mission is to positively influence our school community in order to ensure our students receive the best education possible. To stay focused on that vision, I have one guiding principle: Happiness is the prerequisite for learning, and the students can take us there. This research based approach presents in a number of ways including celebrating the growth of students, providing learning opportunities for their interests, and sharing in their enthusiasm. A student who is engaged in activities that interest them, in an environment that makes them feel welcomed, is the recipe for a successful school.
Core Beliefs
I believe that all students' voices should be heard on matters that impact them.
I believe that negative student behaviors cannot effectively be addressed by punishment, but by repair and prevention.
I believe that we must create a culture where kids build confidence instead of self-consciousness
